V1.1 설치 하는 안전
This application offers a comprehensive tool for calculating energy losses associated with fluid transmission in industrial systems. It features a selection of fifteen widely used fluids, various pipe schedules, and material options, enabling users to accurately determine total pressure losses. The selection of appropriate pipe sizes often involves balancing initial investment against ongoing energy costs; hence, this tool can assist engineers and designers in conducting such trade-off analyses effectively.
In addition to predefined fluids, users can create custom fluid profiles by inputting specific properties, which can be saved for future calculations. Pressure loss calculations are based on Darcy’s equation, providing reliable estimates for both liquids and gases—valid for gases when the flow velocity remains within 40% of the sonic velocity. The app also displays key flow parameters involved in the pressure loss computations.
An additional section has been incorporated to evaluate pressure drops across valves and fittings. Users can select common industrial valves and fittings from an extensive list, facilitating detailed loss analysis for various components.
The list of supported fluids includes: Air, Steam, Water, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Hydrogen, Helium, CO2, Methane, Ethane, Chlorine, Ammonia, Argon, Hydraulic oil, HFC (R410A), and an option for user-defined custom gases or liquids.
Available pipe schedules range from 10 to 160, with corresponding inside and outside diameters provided based on the nominal size selected. Material options encompass steel, stainless steel, galvanized iron, cast iron, concrete, copper, aluminum, PVC, glass, wood, FRP, and rubber. The app calculates the total pipe weight considering size, length, and material for trade-off analyses.
It includes options for various valves such as globe, gate, ball, butterfly, angle valves, as well as check-valves and lift check valves. Fitting options include elbows, reducers, diffusers, T-joints, bends at 45° and 90°, among others.
The calculation of flow parameters—fluid velocity, Reynolds number, and pipe friction coefficient—is dynamically determined based on pipe size, fluid density, and viscosity. An internal algorithm computes the friction coefficient considering roughness factors pertinent to each material under turbulent flow conditions; for laminar flow, the friction depends solely on the Reynolds number. Users can modify roughness parameters for increased accuracy. For gases, sonic velocity data is available for quick reference to assess potential flow regimes.
Measurement units are customizable for both flow rates and pressure drops under both SI and USCS standards. Users can select preferred units conveniently within the interface when choosing fluids from the provided list.
